It is with great honor that the University School of Jackson announces the appointment of Mr. Jim Hardegree as our Associate Head of School, Dean of Students effective July 1, 2020.
“Mr. Hardegree brings with him a tremendous amount of respect and trust, not only from me, but by our entire USJ community, which has been earned through years of service to our families in many important administrative roles,” says Associate Head of School Don Roe. “Jim currently serves as Dean of Students and will continue in this role along with football coaching duties. He also has experience as a Director of Facilities and Division Director, among other roles. He has been a wise and steady force on our leadership team, and I am honored to work with him in what promises to be a bright future for USJ. I am excited to make this announcement, and I look forward to working with Jim as we grow into our new roles and continue to lead and serve our leadership team, faculty, students, and families."
Coach Hardegree has worked with USJ for over 15 years. During this time, Jim has received numerous “Coach of the Year” awards from the Tennessee Athletic Coaches Association and The Jackson Sun. In 2017, Jim was inducted into the Jackson-Madison County Sports Hall of Fame. As the Associate Head of School, Jim will work closely with our new Head of School, Don Roe, to oversee the wellbeing of USJ and all aspects of day-to-day operations.
Jim and his wife Adair live in Jackson and have two sons, Bo and Bill, and one grandchild, Harper Jane.
