It is with great pleasure that the University School of Jackson announces the appointment of Mr. Don Roe as our Associate Head of School, Middle School Director.
As the Associate Head of School, Don will work closely with our Head of School, Stuart Hirstein, to oversee the wellbeing of USJ and our community. Don will play a significant role in the life of our school and will be deeply involved in all aspects of day-to-day operations.
Don has proven himself as a leader and has the personal qualities, integrity, and skillset to add tremendous value to USJ in this new role. As one of the key leaders in the USJ strategic planning process, Don helped shape the vision for the future to ensure continued success for our faculty and students. As the chair of the accreditation committee, Don’s ability to form and lead high functioning teams was clearly on display and enabled the school to achieve the maximum five-year accreditation from the Southern Association of Independent Schools and AdvancED. As the Middle School Director, Don has helped create a culture of respect and support among students and faculty.
While Don will have an added role in leadership at USJ, he will continue in his leadership role as our Middle School Director.
