Shannon is Ranee Jones’ Cubs Assistant.
She was born and raised in Kentucky and moved to West Tennessee in 2003. She has been a substitute teacher for USJ since 2012. She studied Elementary Education at Bethel College and received her certification as an Ophthalmic Technician through the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Shannon has two children, Jacob and Hannah. Both have attended USJ.
In her free time, she enjoys cooking, gardening and volunteering in the community. Shannon has volunteered with the Scouting program for eight years. She volunteered with the Jackson Service League for five years and was president in 2012-2013.
She also proudly supports the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Hannah was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis in 2005.
Two USJ Seniors, Elisa Kapunan and Anika Mahajan, have been recognized as Semifinalists in the 2020 National Merit Scholarship Program.
