Athletic Director, Head US Football Coach
Where do you call home?
Walnut, Mississippi
How long have you been a coach?
17 years
What is your favorite part about your job?
My interest in education directly stems with my life-long infatuation with athletics. My father was a teacher, a very successful head football coach, and presently a retired high school administrator. I have frequently been acquainted with many special people and teams that he has been associated with. Many men have life-long friendships with my father, because they knew he truly cared and expected the best out of them. I too desire for the relationships that form within athletic competition, and realize that what is strived for in athletics are not only the wins and loses, but it is the development of people which is the primary goal in any life activity.
What is your favorite thing about USJ?
To be at the helm of such a storied athletic program is a tremendous honor. It's important to me to be a part of a school that strives for excellence in everything they do. When student-athletes come to the University School of Jackson, they have a unique opportunity to receive a premium education while playing at the highest level of competition.
