Student Life

Are you a soccer player? A trumpet player? Or a chess player? Do your talents shine on the stage? Or in a leadership role?

The breadth of activities at USJ provides opportunities for every child’s interests outside of the classroom. Our successful athletics program, for example, offers 37 teams in 20 sports at the Middle and Upper School level. Our fine arts program offers everything from Lower School musical productions to band to several Upper School choruses.

Uniforms

USJ students at all grade levels wear uniforms. To be in dress code, uniforms must be purchased through Parker School Uniforms. You can purchase your uniforms at Parker's Jackson store or through the company's website.

Cafeteria Debit Card

Lunch and Breakfast
Both the Lower School and the Upper/Middle School cafeterias serve a variety of hot and cold items for lunch and breakfast. All students must make their cafeteria purchases with a scannable lunch card, which will debit money from the card as the student buys food. To put money on your child’s card, send a check to his or her first-period teacher, made out to USJ Cafeteria. Middle and Upper School students can give their checks to Tammy Smith.

The first time you put money on your child's card, we suggest you fill out the cafeteria debit card form. This form also gives you the opportunity to set spending limits and to tell the cafeteria about any allergies. To download a copy of the form in pdf format, click here....

Students win in regional dance competition

USJ students Brigham Short (10th grade) and Allyson Fisher (7th grade) competed in the Showstoppers Regional Dance Competition in West Memphis, Arkansas, in February. Brigham won Double Platinum and was the overall winner in the senior division (age 15-17) for her voice/tap solo "Zing Went The Strings Of My Heart." Allyson won Platinum and was the overall winner in the teen division (age 12-14) for her tap solo "Thoroughly Modern Millie." They also danced in three winning group performances. Both Brigham and Allyson have taken dance from Bonnie's School of Dance in Humboldt for more than ten years.
