Infant & Toddler Program
Parents who are interested in enrolling their youngest child in the Bruin family should apply for the Infant and Toddler Program. With both a 10-month and 12-month option, classes are available Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Children ages 6 weeks to 12 months will be cared for each day in the infant classroom, while those ages 12 to 24 months will be in a separate toddler classroom. The child must be 6 weeks of age by August 15 for the Infants Class and 12 months of age by August 15 for the Toddlers Class.
Please fill out an application for enrollment and submit the $50 application fee. A $100 non-refundable deposit is due with a signed contract. This deposit will be applied to the first month’s tuition. Withdrawal requires a 30-day notice.
Infants Classroom: 6 weeks old – 12 months
The infant classroom has spots for eight babies, with a 1:4 teacher ratio and a floater as well. A gated entryway leads into a classroom where parents can drop off their child. All employees are certified in CPR/First Aid and have up-to-date immunizations. A part-time nurse is available on-site.
Cribs are fire drill-appropriate. USJ will supply crib sheets, bibs, burp cloths, and spoons. The classroom is peanut-free. A nursing room is available. Parents are responsible for pre-made bottles/formula/breast milk/all food consumed by the child. Parents are responsible for 4 packs of wipes per month and diapers.
Schedules are based on individual needs, and a daily Activity Sheet is provided for each child. Staff perform regular sleep checks. Time outside is provided each day as the weather permits. No siblings are allowed in the classroom.
Toddler Classroom: 12 months – 24 months
The toddler classroom has spots for twelve toddlers, with a 1:6 teacher ratio and a floater as well. A gated entryway leads into a classroom where booties are worn and teachers wear scrubs and yoga pants. All employees are certified in CPR/First Aid and have up-to-date immunizations. A nurse is available on-site.
Low cots are available for sleeping, and 1-2 naps are encouraged. USJ will supply sheets, sippy cups, and silverware. The classroom is peanut-free. The school will provide whole milk, apple juice, and water. Parents have the option to purchase lunch in the cafeteria or send lunch. The school will provide snacks. Parents are responsible for 4 packs of wipes per month and diapers.
