grandparents/special friends day

Activites added to special day

Extra activities are making Grandparents/Special Friends Day even more special for Lower School students and their families.

What began many years ago as a day to show off your classroom, teacher, and classmates to your grandparents or a special friend, now includes special acitivites like a book fair, train rides, a petting zoo and art activities.

“I think the grandparents like being here and seeing the school, and I think with the added activities — like the spaghetti supper and half-time performance — it makes for a nice weekend,” Lower School Director Debbie Ford said.

Grandparents/Special Friends Day is held every other year, alternating with the Lower School Fall Festival event.
