Academics

USJ prepares students at every age level for success. Our curriculum is continually evaluated to provide intentional academic experiences that allow students to discover their individual interests and talents. Our faculty hold students to a high standard of achievement, while meeting their needs and instilling a love of lifelong learning.

Early Childhood

Infants - Jr K

The Early Childhood program is a progressive, child-centered approach that lays the foundation for learning and prepares students for lifelong learning.

Lower School

Kindergarten - 5th Grade

In the Lower School each child learns from a curriculum that allows students to construct knowledge through exploration and to develop as thinkers, problem solvers, and explorers. Our daily experiences promote hands-on learning and encourage independent thinking.

Middle School

6th Grade - 8th Grade

Students in USJ’s Middle School are directed through a challenging, yet nurturing program to meet their distinct needs as they progress from the Lower School’s developmental approach to learning to the content-based curriculum of the Upper School.

Upper School

9th Grade - 12th Grade

USJ's Upper School prepares students for success in their post-USJ careers by helping them develop strong and consistent study habits and a solid core of fundamental academic skills, including analytical and critical thinking, time management and organization, creativity, and engagement with different forms of assessment.
